The spring of 2025 will remain etched in my memory for a long time to come. It was rich in emotions, challenges, learning experiences… and wonderful news!

First European Championships: a memorable experience

April got off to a flying start with my first appearance at the European Championships. It was a symbolic moment in my career: it was a first, and I sincerely hope it won’t be the last.

This tournament had a special flavour for me, as I was just coming back from injury. The rehabilitation period was short, almost too short. But despite this, I had two goals: to enjoy myself on the court and to play without pain. Mission accomplished! On top of that, we finished 17th in Europe, a very encouraging result for a first time.

After the tournament, which was held in Denmark, I took the train home and stopped off in Hamburg and Heidelberg. These two lovely German discoveries allowed me to relax a little and recharge my batteries before returning to training.

Slovenia – Austria: progress and patience

After three weeks of training in Bern, we headed to Slovenia for a series of competitions. The results did not live up to my expectations: we were eliminated in the first round in the men’s doubles and mixed doubles. It was disappointing, but also a good basis for bouncing back.

The following week in Graz, Austria, we were able to learn from our experience in Slovenia. In the mixed doubles, we won two great matches, which allowed us to finish in 5th place in the tournament. It was a real source of pride after a difficult start to the month.

These two months have taught me a lot. Here’s what I’ve learned:

  • Communication, both on and off the court, makes all the difference.
  • Keeping things simple, both in the game and in everyday life, is often the most effective approach.
  • And above all: badminton is really cool!
The announcement I’ve been waiting for…

And now, the big news: we’ve officially qualified for the World Championships in Paris at the end of August!

It’s a source of immense pride and a wonderful reward for all the effort, sacrifice and hard work we put in every day. Being able to play in La Défense Arena, the same venue that hosted the badminton events at last year’s Olympic Games, in front of nearly 15,000 spectators, will be just… incredible.

The next few weeks will be devoted to further developing my game, training intensively and preparing in the best possible way for this major event.

Thank you for your support, I’ll keep you posted on what happens next very soon!
